Cayton is a village and civil parish in the Scarborough borough of North Yorkshire, England, 4 miles (6 km) south of Scarborough. Cayton is mentioned in the Domesday book as "Caitune". In his retirement he has completed a book on Scarborough during World War II and is looking for a publisher.
